How To Cook Chuck Steak To Perfection

Marinating the Steak
Chuck steak should be rinsed well in cold water. After rinsing, it should be allowed to dry for a while. Then add the steak into a plastic container in which steak marinade is poured. Acidic meat components in form of citrus, fruit juice and vinegar, tenders the meat well. The plastic container or bad has then to be sealed and refrigerated for about 12 hours.

The steak should be placed in the broiler pan and preheated for about 20 minutes. After broiling, it should be flipped a few times by pouring oil in the pan to either fry or to grill it.
After pan fry or grill, the meat should be removed from the source of heat and checked with meat thermometer. The desired temperature for a chuck steak ranges from 145 degrees to 160 degrees. After ten minutes, the meat can be served.
Braising the steak
Chuck steak should be coated with flour. Heat one or two tablespoons of oil in the skillet for two minutes. Place the chuck steak in the skillet and allow cooking for few minutes by repeated flipping, until the steak turns brown. Once cooked, it can be removed from the skillet. For additional flavour, desired amount of onions and garlic can be stirred in the melted butter skillet until it turns brown. Add the cooked chuck steak in the skillet along with the onions and garlic.
Then to cover the meat, sufficient amount of beef broth has to be added. After mixing all ingredients in skillet it should be closed with lid and the heat can be reduced to low and it mixture has to be cooked for around 3 to 4 hours.
